Privacy Policy

At Round-Turner Visuals, we are committed to maintaining the trust, confidence and privacy of our customers, business contacts, visitors to our website and subscribers to any newsletter. Here you’ll find information on how we treat any data that we collect about the above.

Who We Are

Our registered company name is CRT Imagery Ltd, company number 06256552 registered in England. We use trading names ‘Round-Turner Visuals’ or simply ‘Charlie Round-Turner’ currently; or previously ‘Round-Turner Photography’. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, business contacts and website visitors. The only instances we would share your information with anyone else would be with a postal or courier service or online transfer service (such as Wetransfer, Dropbox or other) in order to send something to you, physically by post/courier or online via your email address. If you are a business contact (eg met via business networking events), I might share your email address or LinkedIn profile with 1 or 2 others in a private chat/email, in order to introduce and promote you, hopefully for your benefit!

Type of Data We Collect and Store

We may have some or all of: your email address, phone number and postal address. We perhaps also have your social media and website addresses, usually in order for mutual promotion/referrals and these being publicly available anyway. You can at any time ask for what information we hold about you. You can at any time request this data be erased. Regarding information collected online, please see ‘website’, ‘newsletter’ and ‘cookies’ sections below.

In some cases photos of you may be used in my portfolio, this would originally have been with your permission. Your photo is generally not posted with your name, unless perhaps in a blog post and this would also be with your permission. Again, you are entitled to withdraw this permission at any time – UNLESS YOU SIGNED A MODEL RELEASE WAIVING THIS RIGHT, SUCH AS FOR COMMERCIAL/ADVERTISING USE – for obvious reasons.

Any data is stored on password-protected Apple Macintosh devices. In the case of paper hardcopy data (eg your address etc on a model release, business contract or other), it is stored in a locked filing cabinet in securely locked premises.

Visitors to our Website

When someone visits https://roundturnervisuals.com/ we use a third party service, Google Analytics and SquareSpace’s built-in analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way that does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google or SquareSpace to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. You can find more information on how cookies are used on this website in the Cookies Policy below.

If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Cookies Policy

We use a system of classifying the different types of cookies which we use on the Website, or which may be used by third parties through our websites. The classification was developed by the International Chamber of Commerce UK and explains more about which cookies we use, why we use them, and the functionality you will lose if you decide you don't want to have them on your device.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your personal computer, mobile or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device.

How long are cookies stored for?

Persistent cookies - these cookies remain on a user's device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.

Session cookies - these cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience.

You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.
